Detailed Clash Meta Tutorial for Android

Introduction

Clash Meta is an enhanced version of Clash, offering more advanced features such as TUN mode, multi-inbound/outbound, Hysteria protocol, etc. It is a powerful proxy tool for Android.

Basic Settings

First Launch

  1. Install the Clash Meta Android app
  2. Open the app, the system will ask for MOFA permissions, tap Allow
  3. On the home page, you will see network traffic and connection statistics

Import Configuration

  1. Tap the "Config" option in the bottom navigation bar
  2. Tap the "+" in the top right to add a new configuration
  3. Select "URL" as the import method
  4. Enter your subscription link and add a name
  5. Tap "Save" and download the configuration

Proxy Settings

Start Proxy

  1. On the home page, tap the switch button at the bottom to start the proxy
  2. When started successfully, the status will show "Running"

Mode Selection

  1. On the home page, tap "Mode" to switch:
    • Global Mode: All traffic goes through the proxy
    • Rule Mode: Smart routing based on rules
    • Direct Mode: No proxy is used

Advanced Features

TUN Mode

  1. In "Settings" > "Network"
  2. Enable "TUN Mode"
  3. Optional configuration:
    • Stack type: Choose gVisor or system
    • Auto Route: Manage routing table
    • Bypass private network: Local network direct connection

Per-App Proxy

  1. In "Settings" > "Network"
  2. Tap "App Management"
  3. Options:
    • Proxy apps: Only selected apps use the proxy
    • Bypass apps: Selected apps do not use the proxy

Traffic Statistics and Control

  1. View real-time network speed on the home page
  2. Tap the "Connections" tab to view all connection records
  3. Filter by app, destination, etc.

Debugging and Optimization

Log Viewing

  1. In the "Logs" tab, view runtime logs
  2. Filter different log levels
  3. Long-press to copy log content

Performance Optimization

  1. Reduce the number of rules to improve matching efficiency
  2. Adjust parameters in "Settings" > "Override"
  3. Appropriately increase concurrent connections for better performance

Troubleshooting

  1. Ensure your configuration file format is correct
  2. Check your network environment and node status
  3. Configuration updates may require restarting the app

Important Notes

  1. TUN mode may conflict with some MOFA applications
  2. ROOT devices can access more complete functionality
  3. Update the app regularly to get the latest features and security patches
